Christie Sides “Caitlin Clark’s Petty Behavior Caused Us This Game”
After a tough loss to the Seattle Storm, Indiana Fever Head Coach Christie Sides pointed to Caitlin Clark’s behavior towards the referees as a key factor in the team’s defeat. “Caitlin’s petty behavior towards the refs cost us this game,” Sides said in the post-game press conference.
Clark, who had a heated exchange with an official in the fourth quarter, was seen arguing calls and displaying visible frustration throughout the game. Sides believed this behavior distracted from the team’s focus and ultimately led to their downfall.
While Clark’s performance on the court was impressive, her antics off the court overshadowed her achievements. Sides emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and respect for officials, stating “We need to learn to keep our cool and play with discipline.”
The Fever’s loss to the Storm snaps their three-game winning streak, and Sides hopes her team will learn from this experience and move forward with a renewed sense of professionalism.
