“Thierry Henry Bids Farewell to Coaching Role with USMNT
Legendary French footballer Thierry Henry has resigned from his role as assistant coach of the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT). Henry, who joined the coaching staff in 2018, cited personal reasons for his departure.
During his tenure, Henry worked alongside head coach Gregg Berhalter to guide the team through various international competitions, including the CONCACAF Gold Cup and World Cup qualifiers.
A decorated player in his own right, Henry enjoyed a storied career with clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, and Monaco, earning numerous accolades and scoring over 200 goals. He also represented France in international competitions, winning the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship.
Henry’s resignation comes as the USMNT prepares for a busy schedule of World Cup qualifiers and friendlies. While his departure may come as a surprise, his contributions to the team’s development and growth will undoubtedly be remembered. As Henry embarks on new endeavors, fans and pundits alike wish him continued success in his coaching journey.”
