The Lone Star State is poised to pay tribute to one of its most beloved sons, the late Dimebag Darrell, with a majestic statue. The monument will celebrate the legendary guitarist’s enduring legacy in heavy metal.

Designed by renowned sculptor, Erik Wahl, the bronze statue will capture Dimebag’s signature pose, guitar in hand, in a powerful tribute to his music and spirit.

“Dimebag’s impact on Texas music and culture is immeasurable,” said Texas Governor, Greg Abbott. “This statue will serve as a lasting testament to his innovative style and unforgettable performances.”

The statue will feature:

– 8-foot tall bronze statue

The Dimebag Darrell Statue Project has been made possible through a partnership between the State of Texas, the City of Ennis, and the Dimebag Darrell Memorial Foundation.
