The Bat and The Rockstar: Ozzy and Post Malone Begin Work on Full Collaborative Album
Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone Are Teaming Up Again — And This Time, It’s a Full Album
Music’s most unexpected duo is making it official.
In what fans are already calling a “genre-bending storm,” Ozzy Osbourne and Post Malone have reportedly entered the studio to work on a full-length collaborative album — a follow-up to their wildly popular 2019 track “Take What You Want.”
According to sources close to both artists, sessions began quietly in Los Angeles earlier this summer, with producers Andrew Watt and Louis Bell back on board. The project — currently untitled — is said to blend Ozzy’s signature dark riffs and haunting vocals with Post’s melodic hooks and genre-hopping versatility.
“This isn’t a feature,” one insider reveals. “This is a full-blown creative partnership. Ozzy’s treating it like his next major statement. Post is all in.”
Ozzy, now 76, has reportedly found renewed energy in the collaboration. After multiple health setbacks, the Prince of Darkness is said to be recording most of his vocals at home, with Post Malone visiting frequently to lay down verses, brainstorm lyrics, and shape the album’s sonic direction.
The album is rumored to include eight to ten tracks, with working titles like “Neon Demons,” “Ashes & Thorns,” and “Back from the Void.” While much of it leans heavy and experimental, early reports say fans can expect a few stripped-down surprises — including a piano ballad where Osbourne and Malone trade lines about mortality and legacy.
“They’re not trying to impress anyone,” said a studio insider. “They’re trying to say something.”
This wouldn’t be the first time the two have created magic together. Their 2019 collaboration surprised critics and fans alike, charting globally and earning Ozzy his first Billboard Hot 100 entry in 30 years. The chemistry between them — unlikely as it may seem — was undeniable.
Post Malone has frequently spoken about Osbourne as a hero. “Ozzy’s a f***ing legend,” he said in a past interview. “Working with him made me feel like a kid in a candy store.”
The feeling appears to be mutual. Ozzy has described Post as “a real artist,” and has praised his ability to bridge the gap between generations.
As for a release date, nothing is official yet, but sources say the duo is eyeing early 2026, with a surprise single potentially dropping by the end of this year. Whether it’s hard rock, hip-hop, or something entirely new, one thing is clear: Ozzy and Post are about to blow the speakers wide open again.
Stay tuned — the bat and the cowboy are back.
