Chelsea could lose points as a result of two major deals, according to the English Premier League.

Chelsea could be docked points after the club reported itself for alleged hidden payments relating to the trades of Willian and Samuel Eto’o.

The Premier League is now investigating possible financial irregularities at Stamford Bridge.

Ironically, the Todd Boehly consortium reported these transactions to authorities after taking control the club in May 2022.

After the UK government sanctioned the oligarch following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the new owners purchased Chelsea from Roman Abramovich.

UEFA previously penalized the Blues £8.6 million for presenting “incomplete financial information” between 2012 and 2019.

The Times claims that the moves of Willian and Eto’o from Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in August 2013 are now being investigated.

Chelsea allegedly made payments to offshore businesses and “Russian entities” distinct from any transfer fee, according to financial records.

Willian was bought from Anzhi for £30 million, while Eto’o arrived on a free transfer.

There is no evidence that either player was aware of the payments.
