Erik ten Hag BANNED for Man Utd’s next game
Manchester United clinched a 1-0 victory against Luton, courtesy of Victor Lindelof’s 59th-minute goal. However, in the midst of the game’s excitement, Erik ten Hag received a yellow card for disputing a throw-in decision.
The Premier League’s new regulations dictate that three yellow cards lead to a one-match touchline ban for managers, down from four cards at the start of the season. Consequently, Ten Hag won’t be in the technical area for United’s upcoming game against Everton after the international break.
Addressing the booking after the match, Ten Hag stated, “Yes, that’s how it is. I have to accept that. It’s not pleasant, but I’m confident in my coaching staff’s ability to manage the job.
” The Dutchman explained that his booking arose from disputing a throw-in decision, acknowledging the need to respect decisions, just like players receiving bookings. United’s win positions them sixth in the Premier League, potentially providing Ten Hag some relief amid growing speculation about his future at Old Trafford.
