Pep Guardiola and Darwin Nunez have a heated Argument after Man City’s win over Liverpool
As the final whistle blew for their match at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola and Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez appeared to get into a heated argument.
Jurgen Klopp, the manager of the Reds, was seen pulling Nunez, who had been substituted later in the Premier League match, away from the altercation, and the manager had his hand to Nunez’s mouth at one point. Several coaches from both clubs got involved in an attempt to calm things down.
It’s unclear what sparked the incident, and the two managers will almost certainly be questioned about it during their post-match press conferences this afternoon.
The top two teams in the table were held to a 1-1 tie. Erling Haaland’s first-half goal broke the record for the fastest player to 50 Premier League goals, but Trent Alexander-Arnold’s late equalizer ensured the points were shared.
