Ex-PSG star Ezequiel Lavezzi was stabbed in the stomach and taken to the hospital.

According to reports in South America, former PSG and Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi has been rushed to hospital with an abdominal wound.

The ex-winger, 38, who announced his retirement from football at the age of 34 in 2020, was hospitalized on December 20. It is currently unknown how Lavezzi, who has 51 international caps for Argentina, sustained the injury.

According to sources close to Lavezzi’s family, his injuries were caused by him falling off a ladder while attempting to change a lightbulb. However, according to EL Observador, local police believe he was stabbed by a family member during a party in the Uruguayan upscale resort Jose Ignacio.
