Angel Reese Officially Put the Caitlin Clark Rivalry Discourse to Bed With a Sweet New Response
What rivalry? Angel Reese is thrilled to join forces with her supposed rival Caitlin Clark at this year’s WNBA All-Star game.
In just over a week, the 22-year-old basketball stars will play on the same team for the first time in Phoenix. Despite being left off this year’s Olympic roster, the rookies will compete against Team USA as part of the All-Star Team, with selections partially determined by WNBA fans. Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever received the highest number of fan votes, totaling 700,733, while Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky garnered 381,518 votes.
“I know so many fans are gonna come out to watch both of us,” Reese said on NBA Today on July 10, as reported by CBS Sports. “I know a lot of people are just gonna come to Phoenix, I’m sure it’s already sold out. Being able to be in that environment, we’re gonna be playing together for a while so this is not gonna be the [last] time. I know we’ll be All-Stars again, and hopefully, in 2028 we’ll be Olympians together.”
