Caitlin Clark hits court with Fiance Connor McCaffery

After the Indiana Fever’s win against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, June 13, the 22-year-old rookie was seen practicing her shots at the empty Gainsbridge Fieldhouse. She was joined by McCaffery, 25, who played defense as she worked on her midrange shooting, as shown in videos shared by reporters Brett Bensley and Dominic Miranda.

In the game, Clark scored seven points but was overshadowed by Aliyah Boston, the Fever’s top pick from the previous year, who scored 27 points.

Wearing an Indiana Pacers Basketball shirt, McCaffery assisted Clark during her practice. Both former Iowa Hawkeyes, McCaffery is now part of the coaching staff for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers, who share the Gainsbridge Fieldhouse with the Fever.

Clark and McCaffery have been dating for over a year, having met at the University of Iowa. They went public with their relationship on Instagram four months in, when Clark posted a photo of them together, captioned “Best end to summer.”

McCaffery joined the Pacers staff before Clark was drafted by the Fever, allowing them to support each other in Indiana. Clark has attended Pacers home games during their playoff run to support McCaffery, while he frequently shares Clark’s achievements on social media and spends extra time with her in the gym.

To celebrate their one-year anniversary in April, McCaffery wrote a heartfelt message to Clark: “One year with the best 🫶🏼 doing life with you has been easy, and you never cease to amaze me.. can’t wait to watch you live out your dreams in person 🤞🏼 love you ❤️.” Clark also posted a tribute, saying, “One year of the best memories with my favorite person 🖤 you make every day better and I can’t wait for many more adventures together… love you 🤞🏻😇.”
