Chelsea is interested in a Feyenoord striker worth £35 million as a replacement for Osimhen

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Chelsea, has openly admitted to being a fan of Victor Osimhen, hinting at a possible move to the London club for the striker.

Chelsea, the five-time English Premier League champions, are keeping an eye on Feyenoord striker Santiago Gimenez as a possible replacement for Victor Osimhen.

The London club’s attacking options up front include Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja. Still, the Blues want to bring Osimhen in to add competition up front and to have the quality of a world-class striker on their team.

However, a winter move for the 24-year-old is still unlikely, and with Napoli refusing to budge from their asking price of €100 million, Chelsea may have to look elsewhere for another striker.

According to Goal, the Blues are keeping an eye on Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, who has scored fifteen goals in all competitions this season.

Gimenez, 22, joined Rotterdam from Cruz Azul in 2022 and has since scored 38 goals in sixty games for the Eredivisie Champions, and could be a cheaper option for Todd Boehly.
