Fans Spot Hidden Detail in Lewis Hamilton’s First Ferrari Post—Is It a Subtle Dig at Micheal Schumacher & Max Verstappen?
Lewis Hamilton might have just delivered one of the most talked-about pictures of 2025. The F1 legend and Ferrari broke the internet with the first official image of Hamilton at Maranello, sparking fan theories about a hidden message aimed at Max Verstappen.
On Monday, Hamilton made his debut at Ferrari’s headquarters in Maranello, posing outside the iconic building alongside a Ferrari F40 supercar. This long-anticipated moment followed Hamilton’s announcement of his move to Ferrari in February of the previous year.
To commemorate his first day with Ferrari, Hamilton posted the striking image on social media, accompanied by a heartfelt message:
“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today, my first as a Ferrari driver, is one of those days. I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today. Today we start a new era in the history of this iconic team, and I can’t wait to see what story we will write together.”
Hamilton’s Subtle Jab at Verstappen?
Fans quickly spotted a curious detail in the photo, suggesting it wasn’t just a simple introduction but a calculated move to send a message to Max Verstappen. One keen-eyed Reddit user pointed out that Hamilton was standing in front of seven open windows, with a door leading to an eighth.
This detail didn’t go unnoticed, with one fan on X writing: “Lewis Hamilton’s first photo with Ferrari has 7 windows and a door to the 8th. I’ve never seen a picture with more aura.” The reference? Hamilton’s seven world championships and the elusive eighth title that would surpass Michael Schumacher’s record, a feat Verstappen denied him in the dramatic 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Ferrari’s Easter Eggs: A New Tradition?
Ferrari seems to be embracing hidden messages in their posts. Recently, they shared a black and white photo from their factory with the caption: *”Look harder.”* Fans deciphered that it featured 16 tires and 44 windows, nods to Charles Leclerc’s and Hamilton’s driver numbers, 16 and 44, respectively.
Hamilton’s message didn’t end with the post. He added gratitude for the Ferrari team’s leadership, saying, *”I’m incredibly grateful to John Elkann, Benedetto Vigna, Fred Vasseur and everyone at Ferrari for their trust in me and making me part of this family. I’m so excited to start this new era and to meet and work with a hugely talented and inspiring group of people. I’m dedicated to bringing everything I have to deliver for the team, the wider organisation, and the fans.”
With such a calculated debut, it’s clear Hamilton and Ferrari are setting the stage for a competitive season, and fans are eagerly watching for the next clue in this unfolding story.
