Price last played for the Cardinals in 2022, where he started all 11 games at center without missing a snap. Before his time with the Cardinals, Price played for the New York Giants and the Cincinnati Bengals. He signed with the Dallas Cowboys after his tenure in Arizona. Price filled in for veteran center Rodney Hudson, who dealt with injuries in 2022.

Reflecting on the sudden change in his life, Price wrote, “In the blink of an eye, everything can be taken away. As a healthy 29-year-old, an unprovoked pulmonary embolism with no further medical explanation is terrifying. I am truly thankful to be alive today. Unfortunately, I will be retiring from the NFL as the risk of an internal bleed while on blood thinners creates tremendous risk.”

The Bengals picked Price as the 21st overall selection in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Over his career, he played in 69 games and started 45 of them. Price’s college career at Ohio State was distinguished. He earned the 2017 Rimington Award and the title of Big Ten Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year.
