I’m Content In Napoli, Victor Osimhen Insists

Remember that Victor Osimhen concluded last season as Serie A’s top scorer with 26 goals, helping Napoli win the league for the first time in 33 years.

Osimhen was allegedly on the wish lists of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, and Chelsea due to his spectacular performance last season.

However, the clubs were unable to do much since Napoli’s president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, insisted on receiving more than £100 million in return for the Nigerian international.

While the interested parties moved on to other targets, Osimhen remained in Naples and began the 2023-2024 season with six goals and one assist in ten games.

As the 24-year-old approaches the end of his contract with Napoli and struggles to reach an agreement with the club on a contract extension, his long-term future remains uncertain.

Osimhen was also the subject of two strange Napoli TikTok videos that appeared to insult the striker. After the striker’s agent threatened to sue the team over the incident, the club reportedly offered a private apology to the player.

On the other hand, Napoli’s president had hinted that if he did not agree to a new deal, Osimhen might be sold in 2024. This apparently alerted Chelsea and Liverpool, who are reportedly in the running to sign Osimhen.

Victor Osimhen, on the other hand, insisted on being “happy at Napoli” in a recent Twitch interview with Mario Balotelli and Emiliano Viviano.
