Heavy metal legends Iron Maiden are set to unveil a statue of their original vocalist, Paul Di’Anno, in his hometown of Chingford, London, in 2025.
The tribute, commissioned by the band and local authorities, recognizes Di’Anno’s pivotal role in shaping Iron Maiden’s early sound and success.
“We’re thrilled to celebrate Paul’s contributions to Iron Maiden’s history,” said bassist and founder Steve Harris. “His raw energy and stage presence helped define our sound and inspire a generation of metal fans.”
The statue, designed by renowned sculptor Bruce Denny, will be situated in Chingford Mount, overlooking Epping Forest. The location holds sentimental value, as Di’Anno grew up in the area and drew inspiration from its landscape.

Chingford Council leader, Councillor Simon Miller, expressed excitement about the project: “This statue will not only celebrate Paul Di’Anno’s achievements but also highlight Chingford’s rich musical heritage.”
Fans can look forward to this fitting tribute to Di’Anno’s enduring impact on heavy metal.
