Jake Trbojevic “The Team Has Caused Me Alot But I Still Find Solace Winning Here”
NSW Blues lock Jake Trbojevic has expressed his sense of solace and pride in being named captain of the team for the remainder of the State of Origin series. Trbojevic takes over the leadership role after captain Boyd Cordner suffered a serious head injury in Game 2. Despite the disappointment of losing Cordner and Latrell Mitchell to injury, Trbojevic is focused on leading the team to victory in Game 3.
Trbojevic, a veteran of 24 Origin matches, is no stranger to leadership, having captained the Manly Sea Eagles in the NRL. He believes his experience and guidance will be crucial in motivating his teammates to secure a series win. Trbojevic praised the team’s resilience and determination, saying “We’ve faced adversity before, and we’ve always come out on top.” He also acknowledged the talent and potential of the team, stating “We have a great mix of youth and experience, and I have no doubt we can get the job done.”
With Trbojevic at the helm, the NSW Blues are ready to face Queensland in Game 3, determined to bring home the series victory.
