Jets are 5.5 point underdogs against 49ers in Week 1
The Jets will kick off their season with a major Monday Night Football game for the second year in a row. The team’s home opener in 2023 was against the Buffalo Bills, a rival team in the division. The Jets are embarking on a lengthy road trip this season. They’re going to the 49ers, the reigning NFC Champions, in San Francisco.
In the first game, the Jets are currently 5.5 point underdogs. This comes as no real surprise. First up, the Niners are playing at home. And for the previous five seasons, they have continuously been among the best clubs in the league. Although the Jets have a lot of potential for 2024, they will have to win a major game like this before they can be considered favourites.
The Jets will have their work cut out for them in the opener, but it appears that the schedule opens off with a matchup against the Tennessee Titans, maybe followed by three straight games against rookie quarterbacks. The Jets might be off to a fast start if they manage to pull off a victory in San Francisco.
