Jorginho strongly hints at his imminent transfer as his Arsenal contract nears its conclusion.

Jorginho has hinted that he wants to return to Serie A as his contract with Arsenal expires in eight months.
The 31-year-old joined Arsenal from Chelsea in January for £12 million. He signed a one-and-a-half year contract and appeared in 14 Premier League games in the second half of last season as Mikel Arteta’s side challenged Manchester City for the title.
This season, the Italian has played a more prominent role, and he has captained Arsenal in their last three games in the absence of Martin Odegaard. Jorginho’s contract is set to expire next summer, and while an extension is possible, his future is uncertain.
If Jorginho does not agree to new terms, he can approach non-British clubs in January about signing a pre-contract agreement. Jorginho, who spent nearly five years at Napoli before joining Chelsea in 2018, spoke about his future while on international duty, admitting he would like to return to Serie A.
“I’m very much in doubt, I would like to return but I don’t know when the right time would be,” he said ahead of Italy’s Euro 2024 qualifier against North Macedonia.
“I want to return, but I’m not sure when because I still have work to do at Arsenal.” When you change teams, it always takes time, but my first six months at Arsenal were positive.”
Jorginho has started four of Arsenal’s last five games, including last month’s 1-0 win over Manchester City, and is benefiting from Thomas Partey’s injury. The former Hellas Verona and Napoli midfielder is finding his form and enjoying his time at the Emirates Stadium.
According to Jorginho. “Obviously, it takes time to understand the mechanisms better, Arteta gives you a billion pieces of information but I’m very happy there.”
“I have grown a lot on the pitch, in experience,” he said. “I switched teams and coaches, so I have more information.” I had a better understanding of the game and how to compete.
“Competing entails more than just playing well; it also requires experience.” And I try to pass on my experience to my teammates.”
