Philadelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto has received some fantastic news despite his recent injury report. Realmuto and his wife, Lexi, have welcomed a brand new baby boy into their family.
Realmuto, who suffered a sprained right pinky finger during Friday’s game, is expected to miss some playing time. However, the news of his new addition has lifted his spirits and those of his teammates.
“Congratulations to J.T. and Lexi on the new baby boy!” manager Rob Thomson said. “We’re all thrilled for them, and we know J.T. will be back on the field soon, swinging for the fences.”
Realmuto has been on a tear this season, slashing .285/.305/.488 with 16 extra-base hits. His absence will be felt, but the team is confident in his ability to bounce back quickly.
As Realmuto takes some time off to celebrate the new arrival, his teammates will rally around him. “We’re all happy for J.T. and his growing family,” said Bryce Harper. “We’ll keep him in our thoughts and can’t wait to see him back on the field.”
The Phillies organization and fans alike are thrilled for Realmuto and his family. This new addition is a welcome distraction from the injury report, and everyone is eager to meet the newest member of the Phillies family.
