Kansas City Chiefs Players Arrested

This week, there were apparently two drug-related arrests of Kansas City Chiefs athletes. The defending Super Bowl winners had a difficult offseason when the charges occurred.

Rashee Rice, a second-year wide receiver, is charged with eight felonies in relation to a high-speed collision that occurred in late March. In addition, Rice’s alleged attack on a photojournalist is under investigation.

Chukwuebuka Godrick and Wanya Morris were arrested

Wanya Morris, 23, and Chukwuebuka Godrick, 23, offensive linemen with the Kansas City Chiefs, were charged on Friday with misdemeanour possession of marijuana in Johnson County, Kansas.

According to court documents, the two were detained shortly after a Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputy arrested them late on Thursday night. Just before two in the morning on Friday, the two were checked into the Johnson County Adult Detention Centre.

After appearing on camera before a Johnson County judge on Friday afternoon, both athletes posted a $2,500 bond and were freed shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday.

Morris is having a busy offseason. He is anticipated to go off against Kingsley Suamataia, a second-round selection, for the starting left tackle position that free agent Donovan Smith had the previous campaign.
