Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis has expressed regret over missing the Olympic Games due to an in-season injury. Porzingis, who was expected to lead the Latvian national team, suffered a calf injury during the NBA season, forcing him to withdraw from the Olympics.

In a recent interview, Porzingis said, “I’m deeply disappointed to have missed the opportunity to represent Latvia at the Olympics. It’s a dream of mine to compete on the biggest stage, and I was really looking forward to it.”

Despite making a quick recovery and returning to the Celtics lineup, Porzingis couldn’t shake off the feeling of missing out. “I was hoping to be healthy in time, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out. I’m proud of my teammates who went out there and gave it their all.”
