Logan Paul abruptly retires from boxing as the industry continues to deteriorate — ‘Every company is going bankrupt,’ he says.
Logan Paul has hung up his gloves.
By fighting fellow social media sensation KSI in 2018 and again in 2019, “The Maverick” helped kick off the influencer boxing craze. Paul would continue to enter and exit the ring over the years, fighting everyone from Floyd Mayweather to Dillon Danis.
It’s time to bid farewell to all those “broken companies.”
“Yeah, I think I’m retired from boxing,” Paul said to Fox Business. “I believe I’ve accomplished enough in this sport by remaining undefeated at 25-0.” So, yeah, now I’m going to be a wrestler. There is no more money in boxing, and every company is bankrupt. So… wrestler full-time. For the United States Championship, I defeated Rey Mysterio fairly and squarely.”
Paul’s previous pay-per-view (PPV) card reportedly failed miserably at the box office.
