The winger for Manchester United, Jadon Sancho, made a forgettable cameo outing for Borussia Dortmund on Friday.

In just seven minutes on the pitch, the 23-year-old Dortmund player missed three opportunities to seal a 3-0 victory over Freiburg.

Sancho had won a starting position at his loanee club after serving a four-month suspension at United for not apologising to Erik ten Hag. Sancho has already returned to Dortmund. He participated in back-to-back victories over Bochum and Koln. However, Sancho suffered a muscle ailment that kept him out of the Heidenheim draw before he replaced Marco Reus on Friday night.

However, in the short seven minutes he played, Sancho appeared fatigued; the winger squandered multiple opportunities, most notably a fantastic one in stoppage time. Sancho was unmarked at the back post when Julian Brandt found him, but goalie Noah Atubolu easily stopped the Englishman’s weak left-footed shot.

Following rumours that Sancho may leave Old Trafford for a price between €46 million and €58.55 million, this news was released.

Dortmund is reportedly eager to sign Sancho permanently when his loan expires in the summer, according to CaughtOffside. The Bundesliga team is hoping that Sancho can use his own influence to get United to agree to a reduced fee for his departure.

Given the agreed-upon loan cost of €3–4 million, which includes his salary, Dortmund authorities are confident they can negotiate a lower asking price.
