Marc Marquez: “Being aggressive is the best tactic to show your opponents that you are doing your best”
Marc Márquez Declares: “Aggression is Key to Prove You’re Giving It Your All
Marc Márquez’s recent interview following his Punta Cana vacation reveals a champion reinvigorated and ready to take on the 2025 MotoGP season with unshakable determination and confidence.
After a much-needed holiday with his partner Gemma Pinto, Márquez returned to Europe for the festive season, gearing up for intense preparations for what promises to be an electrifying year. Speaking on the live show *”Sport & Talk from Hangar 7″* in Salzburg, the six-time MotoGP world champion shared insights into his goals and mindset for the upcoming season.
A Bold Comeback in 2024
Reflecting on his 2024 performance, Márquez expressed pride in finishing third overall with Gresini Racing aboard an unofficial Ducati. “At the end of 2023, I made a big bet with myself,” he revealed. “The goal was to win another race.”
That gamble paid off in spectacular fashion at the Aragon Grand Prix, where Márquez secured his first victory in over a year. “I’ve always been fast on this track. When I reached the first two riders, I went after Jorge [Martín] with an aggressive approach. That’s the best tactic to show your opponents you’re giving it your all,” he said.
Excitement for the Future
After testing the Ducati GP25 prototype in Barcelona, Márquez is eager to experience the finalized version during pre-season testing in February. A head-to-head battle with teammate Pecco Bagnaia, last season’s champion, promises an enthralling 2025 campaign.
Fueled by his renewed competitive edge, Márquez feels physically and mentally ready to tackle the grueling season ahead. “Good races and the celebrations that follow are fuel for the body,” he remarked. “When I was finishing 11th or 12th, I’d feel exhausted after every race. Now, I’m ready for more, even the very next day.”
Eyeing the Throne Once Again
Following several challenging seasons with Honda, Márquez has turned a new page. Equipped with a high-performing Ducati and backed by a solid team, he is focused on reclaiming his MotoGP crown.
“The fire is back,” Márquez stated confidently. “With the right bike, strategy, and attitude, I’m ready to fight for the world title in 2025.”
As the season looms, all eyes will be on Márquez to see if he can reclaim his place as the king of MotoGP.
