Napoli star Victor Osimhen not moving to Arsenal

Following their impressive victory over Liverpool over the weekend, the Gunners are aiming to win the Premier League this season. Now, they are getting closer to the top of the arrangement.

In the summer, Arsenal still plans to add players to the roster. Mikel Arteta has long desired to bring in a new, talented striker to his squad. Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah have combined for just nine goals in the Premier League this season.

The manager thinks highly of Osimhen as a player, but considering his £112 million price tag, an Arsenal transfer for him is definitely not feasible.

Transfer expert Dean Jones thinks it is much more likely that Arsenal will sign Toney given Napoli’s hefty demands for Osimhen.

In an interview with GIVEMESPORT, he stated:

That’s a big sum of money. I would be shocked if Arsenal paid more money on Osimhen than they did on Declan Rice (£115 million), which is likely what it will take.

“It’s never good to take Chelsea head-to-head on a signing, and that gives me the impression that Arsenal might pull out of it.”

“I believe there are other players out there that might be a good fit for them.

Even still, I feel like Ivan Toney is being minimised; within the club, there are rumours that Toney is not being watched.

I’ve heard different, so we’ll just have to wait and see. However, Arsenal will undoubtedly be looking for a player with that calibre.

Toney returned to the field last month following an eight-month football suspension, and in three games, he has already scored two goals.

Although Toney will still cost a lot of money, the Gunners may find that he is a less expensive option than Osimhen.
