Surprise move of an Arsenal star to bitter London rivals is ‘tempting.’

Things have been going well for Mikel Arteta’s side this season, with plenty of competition for places in a large squad – and the Basque manager appears to want to improve his options in January.

But, in order for that to happen, there must be sales, and Arsenal are nearing their FFP limit. Now, one celebrity appears to be considering a move… The Gunners, on the other hand, will be picky about who they play.

Aaron Ramsdale wants to move to Chelsea, according to sports writer Paul Brown, who describes the idea as “pretty tempting” when citing interest from the Blues in the England international.

Following David Raya’s ascension to the top spot in Arteta’s mind, talkSPORT has linked Ramsdale with a move to west London. However, both Brown and talkSPORT claim that a January transfer would be difficult for Arsenal to sanction.

Whether or not Arteta wants his No.2 keeper to leave, fans are likely to be divided about the potential transfer.

Despite Arteta’s previous suggestion that he could rotate his two goalkeepers, Ramsdale isn’t seeing any action for the Gunners. While few fans would object to a move for the keeper, going across London to bolster a bitter rival would likely enrage some.

Alternatively, Chelsea are struggling in the league this season, and any deal for Ramsdale could cost more than £50 million, allowing Arteta to bolster his squad elsewhere.

According to Transfermarkt, Ramsdale is worth €28 million.
