Ten Hag reacts to Virgil van Dijk’s claim on Liverpool vs. Man United.
Ten Hag spent his post-match press conference praising his team’s performance rather than dwelling on Van Dijk’s criticism. He recalled last season’s 7-0 loss to Liverpool as motivation for the most recent game. He insisted that Manchester United had demonstrated its potential by outplaying Liverpool on the field.
In response to Van Dijk’s remarks, Ten Hag simply stated, “It’s his opinion.” Throughout the game, he expressed his pride in his team’s performance. “I said in the locker room after the game that I am very proud of this team.” We should do this more frequently.”

Ten Hag went on to say that his team could have been more aggressive against their opponents. He pointed out that they had taken advantage of the best open play opportunities. “We know they have a strong counter-press after the ball is regained, but you need to keep the ball and get three or four passes in.” “You can hurt them in such situations,” he explained.
Ten Hag referred to last year’s games against Liverpool, noting that they had won two of the three meetings. “We have the ability to beat Liverpool.” I believe we demonstrated our capabilities today. If we bring this every game, we’ll be a difficult team to beat, and from here, we can win games and big games,” he concluded.
