The $10,927 punishment for Odell Beckham peace sign while sprinting into the end zone
Odell Beckham, a wide receiver for the Ravens, was fined by the NFL after he raised two fingers in the air while scoring a touchdown against the Browns.
Odell Beckham was fined $10,927 by the league for the gesture, which was deemed to be unsportsmanlike behavior.
Tyreek Hill, a wide receiver with the Dolphins and a man who has experienced his share of celebration fines, cautioned Beckham this week to anticipate a fine from the NFL.
Certainly, they are fining people for it, Hill commented on social media.
In this instance, Beckham seemed to be joyfully celebrating a spectacular play rather than insulting anyone, as the NFL regularly sanctions players for doing so. Still, that was sufficient for the league to withhold his salary.
