Tool Confirms Japan Tour for December—Australian Dates Officially on the Way
Tool Announces Japan Tour, Confirms Australia Is Next
It’s finally happening: Tool has officially confirmed a run of Japanese tour dates for December 2025—and the band isn’t stopping there. In a statement released via their website and social media, the progressive rock legends also revealed that a follow-up Australian leg is in the works, marking their return to Oceania after more than six years.
🗾 Japan Tour Locked In for December
Tool will play three dates across Tokyo and Osaka in early December, with venues including Makuhari Messe and Osaka-Jo Hall—two of the country’s most iconic rock arenas. This marks the band’s first tour in Japan since 2013, and only the fifth time they’ve ever performed there.
“Japan has always been one of the most intense audiences we’ve experienced,” said frontman Maynard James Keenan in the official press release. “We’re honored to return.”
Tickets are expected to go on sale later this month via Ticketmaster Japan, with pre-sale access available to Tool Army fan club members.
🇦🇺 Australia Is Next—Official Confirmation Ends Months of Speculation
Alongside the Japan news, Tool confirmed what fans across the Southern Hemisphere have been hoping for: a full Australian tour will follow the Japan leg, with dates expected in late December through January 2026.
Though specific cities haven’t been named yet, insiders suggest stops in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth, with possible additional shows in New Zealand.
“We’re not stopping in Tokyo,” drummer Danny Carey hinted in a recent interview. “We’re bringing the full experience to Australia right after.”
Tool last toured Australia in 2020 just before the pandemic hit, selling out arenas across the country in support of Fear Inoculum. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited a proper return—especially as new material continues to build behind the scenes.
🎟️ Ticket Info and What’s Next
While no Australian dates have gone on sale yet, Tool’s team says announcements are coming “very soon,” with a toolband.com pre-sale expected to go live within the next few weeks.
Fans are advised to follow Tool’s official pages and register early, as previous Australian tours sold out in minutes.
One of rock’s most powerful live acts is returning to the Pacific. Japan gets them first—but Australia, your turn is coming fast.
