
Top Nigerian Football Players Who Scored Goals During the Weekend in Europe
While some Nigerian football players were on teams that lost last weekend all around Europe and were unable to do anything about it, some Nigerians showed up for their respective teams.
Football players from Nigeria, such as Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Victor Boniface of Bayer Leverkusen, who are typically reliable goal scorers, were absent from their sides last weekend.
Due to fitness concerns, Osimhen didn’t even make the squad, but his club still managed to draw 2-2 in the Italian Serie A against AC Milan.
Regarding Boniface, he didn’t get much of a chance to play in Sunday’s German Bundesliga match against SC Freiburg, but his club still prevailed 2-1.

Adam Akor
Last weekend, Akor Adams, one of the top Nigerian football players in Europe, assisted his French team Montpellier in a 3-0 victory over Toulouse. Two of the goals were scored by the 23-year-old attacker, who now has five goals in eight Ligue 1 appearances.
Another Nigerian youngster that dazzled last weekend was George Ilenikhena, a 17-year-old forward for Royal Antwerp in the Belgian Pro League. Ilenikhena was born in Lagos. He scored a goal in Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Brugge for his squad.
Another little-known Nigerian player who scored last weekend was Anosike Ementa. In Viborg’s SuperLiga of Denmark match against Vejle Boldklub, he scores the equalizer.
In the Serbian league match on Saturday between Red Star Belgrade and IMT Novi Beograd, Peter Olayinka was the star player. In the 26th minute of the match, he gave his team a 2-1 victory.
Olanrewaju Kayode, who presently plays for Gençlerbirliği, assisted his club in securing a 2-2 draw against Kocaelispor while they were in Turkey, despite falling behind by two goals. During the match, he gave his team its first goal.
