Julian Alaphilippe: The Road to Redemption and Victory.
This season, the Tudor Pro Cycling Team is gaining traction in the cycling world with the ambitious signings of two classics specialists, Julian Alaphilippe and Marc Hirschi. With the majority of wildcards for the spring races now revealed, the Swiss team is poised to strategize and outline a competitive calendar aimed at securing significant wins at the World Tour level.
Julian Alaphilippe launched his season with a strong performance in Portugal, finishing 8th at the Figueira Champions Classic and displaying his endurance at the Volta ao Algarve, where he remained competitive alongside climbers until late into stage 2. After a focused training block, Alaphilippe is set to embark on a crucial period in his calendar that could define his season.
At Paris-Nice, he will take on a co-leader role, targeting wins on the hilly stages while being supported by talented teammates Matteo Trentin and Alberto Dainese, who will also chase victories away from the mountain routes. This race serves as an essential preparation for Alaphilippe, who aims to reclaim glory at Milano-Sanremo, a race where he has previously triumphed.
In accordance with his ambitions this year, Alaphilippe is looking forward to participating in the challenging cobbled classics, lining up against elite riders like Pogacar, van der Poel, and van Aert at both the E3 Saxo Classic and the Tour of Flanders. It is clear that the Frenchman is eager to showcase his skills on these iconic courses.
After the cobbled races, he will jump headfirst into the Ardennes classics, where he has historically excelled. Alongside his teammate Marc Hirschi, both riders are determined to secure significant wins for Tudor. As both co-leaders in these events, they aim to make a meaningful impact in the cycling community and aim for podium finishes.
Julian’s path this season is marked by determination, and with the strategic support of his team, he is determined to add more victories to his impressive career tally and assert his presence in the cycling elite.
